Registration for the 2023 Kitimat Museum & Archives Summer Programs is open!
Programming is for local children ages 4 to 9, from July 4th to August 16th. Programs are divided into two age groups for age-appropriate peer play. Local kids learn various things about local geology, culture, and animals; local experts are included in many of the programs.
4* to 6 years: 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
7 to 9 years: 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Drop-off and pickup are done at the Museum. At the start of each program, attendance is taken by the Summer Program Leaders. Please notify the front desk in advance if your child will not be coming in as we often have long waitlists.
*(this year we have updated the starting age from 3 to 4)

FAQ
What is the cost of programs?
Each program is $7.00. If you have a current Family Membership or sign up for one, you receive a 15% discount per program. A Family Membership is $14/annually and also entitles you to 15% off non-consignment items in the Gift Shop. There are no credits or refunds for cancellations or no-shows. A waitlist will ensure the next in line will be given the spot.
Do I need to send anything with my child(ren)?
Due to the short length of the programs snacks are not necessary to supply. There is a water cooler in the activity room; however, if you feel you want to send a water bottle please label it clearly as items are often left behind at the end of the day.
Will any programs be outdoors?
There are often scheduled outings and field trips to the park or businesses nearby. It is a good idea to watch the weather forecast and send your child(ren) prepared depending on the outlook: sunscreen if hot and sunny or raingear and boots if wet and rainy
