We offer a variety of kids programs

Typically, morning programs for ages 3 to 5  run from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and in the afternoon for ages 6 to 9 from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

Each program is $7.00 ($5.95 with a current family membership). Sign up at the front desk of the Kitimat Museum.

SPRING BREAK PROGRAMS

Spring break is when the Kitimat Museum & Archives offers multicultural activities, as March is Multicultural Month in Kitimat, for kids ages 3 to 9 years of age. Programs run during the Coast Mountain School District 82 spring break.  Past programs have included:

  • Chinese Dragons
  • First Nations button blankets
  • Mexican Day of the Dead
  • Portuguese Biscuits
    and more!

SUMMER PROGRAMS

Summer programming for kids ages 3 to 9 are run by the Museum’s summer students during the months of July and August.

Participants learn various things about local geology, culture, and animals; local experts are included in many of the programs.

Field trips are very popular and in the past have included a trip to the Giant Spruce, Hospital Beach, Fire Hall, Fish Hatchery, and RCMP, plus around town!
