Kelly Marsh: “What I See At Night”

Kelly Marsh is the creative eye behind Ice Coast Photography, based in Kitimat, British Columbia. Inspired by the rugged beauty of the Coast Mountains, he captures the landscapes, wildlife, and night skies that define Northwest BC. As an avid hiker and Search and Rescue member, Marsh often ventures into remote areas, where solitude and starlight shape his work.

What I See at Night is a collection of photographs inspired by the beauty and mystery of the night. Drawn to its stillness, Marsh finds peace in photographing under the aurora or the Milky Way—moments that often feel like a private light show. Many of the scenes he captures are hidden from everyday view, revealed only through long exposure and patience.

His passion for photography has evolved into videography and visual storytelling, with recent works featured in film festivals. These stories reflect his deep connection to the land, its people, and the wildness they share.

Through Ice Coast Photography, Marsh invites viewers to witness the quiet beauty of darkness, where light can be fleeting or millions of years old, yet converge in a single frame to reveal the unseen wonders of the world after dark.
