Summer programming for kids ages 4 to 9 are run by the Museum’s summer students during the months of July and August. Participants learn various things about local geology, culture, and animals; local experts are included in many of the programs.

Field trips are very popular and in the past have included a trip to the Giant Spruce, Hospital Beach, Fire Hall, Fish Hatchery, and RCMP, plus around town!

Programs are divided into two age groups for age-appropriate peer play. Local kids learn various things about local geology, culture, and animals; local experts are included in many of the programs.

  • 4 to 6 years: 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • 7 to 9 years:  1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Drop-off and pickup are done at the Museum. At the start of each program, attendance is taken by the Summer Program Leaders. Please notify the front desk in advance if your child will not be coming in as we often have long waitlists.
