The Kitimat Museum & Archives is in search of 1 Instructor and 1 Assistant for its Museum in the Classroom art program. These workshops provide art instruction in a variety of subjects and media to local students, mainly in elementary schools. The Instructor will plan and deliver lessons in various art forms such as oil pastels, charcoal pencils, and watercolour painting. The Assistant will prepare and organize supplies and assist the Instructor with art creation, set up, and clean up.
These are part-time positions dependent on classroom bookings; a flexible schedule and reliable transportation is necessary. The January-June 2023 season saw an average of 12 bookings (roughly 20 hours) per month. Instructor wage: $25/hr.; Assistant wage: $21/hr.
