The Kitimat Museum & Archives invites you to join us for the opening reception of “Calm Reflections of Untamed Shores,” an exhibit of oil landscape paintings by local artist Rebecca Lapierre.

Rebecca highlights the unparalleled splendor of the Northern B.C. Coast through this series of awe-inspiring scenes – bays and inlets, mountains and woodlands, shorelines and open sea. We hope you will find them to be a source of wonder, beauty, and rejuvenation, just like the places that inspired them.

Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Rebecca moved to Kitimat in 2019. A self-taught artist, she has been involved with art and music since childhood. Rebecca has participated in several of our community exhibitions, but this is her first solo show at the Kitimat Museum & Archives.

The reception will be held on July 19th, 7:30 p.m., in the Museum’s second-floor gallery, which is wheelchair-accessible by lift. We are open by donation.
“Calm Reflections of Untamed Shores” will run until August 30th 2024.
