Ice Coast Photography [Kelly Marsh]: April 8 to May 7, 2022

About the Exhibition

Visit the Kitimat Museum & Archives to view the debut photo exhibition of local photographer, Kelly Marsh, Ice Coast Photography, April 8 to May 7, 2022.

This exhibition features photographic compositions of landscapes, close-ups and wildlife captured throughout Northwest BC. Through his camera lens, Marsh dials into focus the varied textures of nature, and transports the viewer into a world of jeweled colours that highlight the majestic beauty of nature.

There is no reception for this event. The Upstairs Gallery is wheelchair accessible.

Artist Statement

Kitimat is overflowing with amazing artists. I’m married to one and have two sons who are talented musicians. I always thought I had a seed of creativity inside me as well. Since retirement and more time to pursue the activities that give me joy, the seed germinated when I started carrying my camera around more.

Photography has allowed me to slow down and to be more observant. I notice the beauty in things I’ve never noticed before. Spending time alone looking for something to shoot is now one of my favourite things to do.

Landscapes, close ups and wildlife are basically what interest me most. The support and encouragement of a few has given me the confidence to accept risks such as this exhibit. I take photos that are interesting and eye catching to me. Hopefully you will also find something from my collection to enjoy.

Purchase Prints:
