Shop local this Christmas at the Kitimat Museum & Archives. No matter who you are shopping for, you’ll find a gift for them at the Artisan Christmas Gift Store.

Starting November 25th, 2022, at 6 pm, you can find original art and unique handmade items created by local artisans. This year get your one-stop shopping done at the Kitimat Museum & Archives. The Gift Store officially opens with an open house on Friday, November 25th, at 6 pm. Come and enjoy shopping and enter a draw to win a gift basket featuring items from participating vendors to be drawn on December 22, 2022.

The Museum’s Christmas Gift Store has been held since 1998 for browsing and sales to the public and is a popular event known for being the place in Kitimat to support local artisans. As a visitor, you will have a variety of crafts to consider. In previous years the Museum has featured a variety of handcrafted items; including original art, quilted items and table runners, jewelry, woven scarves, furniture, soap and bath salts, creams, home décor items, cards, knitted wearables and stained glass.

Shopping locally means more than ever these days. Supporting local businesses and artisans helps keep money in the community and promotes self-sufficiency and less dependency on imports. For more information on the impact of shopping locally, visit Love Kitimat.

Thank you to the participating vendors of our 2022 Artisan Christmas Gift Store. And remember – shop local this Christmas.
